Nepal has six seasons each year, compared to four in the Western world. The best time for trekking spans eight months of the year, divided into two distinct periods: spring and autumn. We recommend avoiding the crowds to enjoy more space and a better experience on the way up to the mountains. October and April are the busiest months of the year for trekking.
Sagarmatha Base Camp
- Spring & Early Summer: Late February to early June.
- Autumn: Late August to December. September offers beautiful waterfalls and colourful leaves.
Annapurna Base Camp
- Spring & Early Summer: Late February to early June.
- Autumn: Late August to December.
Annapurna Circuit
- Spring & Early Summer: Late February to early June.
- Autumn: Late August to December. September is perfect for high waves white water rafting and colorful leaves.
Island Peak
- Spring & Early Summer: Early March to late May.
- Autumn: Late August to December.
Tsum Valley and Manaslu Circuit
- Spring & Early Summer: Late February to early June. An ideal time for the blooming rhododendrons.
- Autumn: Late August to December.
Manaslu Circuit
- Spring & Early Summer: Late February to early June.
- Autumn: Late August to December.
